Instructions for Group Leaders
Technology - If you will be using audio/video equipment, please let Jennifer Lester know a week in advance so she can inform our venue to set up accordingly. The Inn has a projector that you can use for your presentation which requires HDMI input. You will need to bring the necessary cables/adapters to attach your computer. (Note: the Inn’s projector isn’t the fanciest, if you have your own you may be happier.)
Program Information - We are required to submit information about our programs to the National Inn of Court in order to maintain our Inn’s Platinum status. Below are the three forms that group leaders should complete and return to the Program Chair no less than one week after your presentation. Please note there is a strict reporting deadline and late or incomplete forms will negativley impact the Inn.
Program Submission Form - This form must be completed and returned along with copies of any materials (PowerPoint, handouts, etc.) that are used in your presentation. (Note that our Inn number is 434)
Program Evaluations - These forms must be completed the night of your presentation. You should bring about 50 hard copies to the meeting and collect the completed forms after your presentation. After the meeting, scan the forms as a single PDF and submit them with the Program
CLE Credit - This form must be completed for CLE Credit and submitted with all supporting materials. (Note that our provider number is 270276.) You can submit your form directly to the Florida Bar, or send to the Program Chair to submit on your behalf.
The Toast - Each Inn meeting is closed with a toast. The group responsible for the presentation is responsible for giving the toast. Traditionally, the toast is given by a student or junior member of the Inn.
Mentorship Requirement - Mentoring student and junior members is one of the foundations of our Inn and group leaders are expected to help facilitate mentoring experiences for all the members of their group. Prior to leaving each meeting, the group leader/co-leader is responsible for making sure each member has a plan to meet with another Inn member. To maintain accountability, mentorship activities should be reported by the mentee using this form.
Contact Information - You can find a member directory as well as a list of your group members on the website. Please advise if any updates are necessary.
